Katonah Yarn Company has a warm and inspirational environment where you can shop, take classes and knit. We offer helpful advice on all of your knitting projects.
Class prices do not include materials.
We ask that you pre-pay to reserve your place in class. You may register at the store or by phone using a credit card. Our phone number is: 914-977-3145. At this time, we cannot accept registration via email. Class fees are only refundable up to 1 week before the class start date.
If fewer than four students enroll for a class, we will need to cancel the class. If Katonah Yarn Company cancels a class for any reason we will refund payment in full.
At this time, there are no make-ups for missed classes.
Supervised KnittingThis is the perfect class if you know how to knit, but feel more comfortable working on your projects with a little guidance. Peggy can help you learn new techniques, or gain confidence about the ones you already know. Students can work on any project they choose.

Anything GoesThis is an ongoing class for knitting and crocheting on any level. Whether you're an absolute beginner, or want to learn how to finish your project properly, you will get individual attention within a small group. Pick out any yarn you like, and we'll design a custom sweater for you to knit which will fit you perfectly.

Socks are fun to knit and extremely portable. Peggy can show you how on double pointed needles, or on two circulars. Caution: once you start knitting socks, you may never stop.

Learn to Knit!! Give us 4 hours and we'll give you the world...of knitting! Learn to cast on, knit, purl and bind off. Buy yarn and needles to get a project started during the first session. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refresh an old hobby, you will leave feeling comfortable with your new skills.Teacher: Liz Rolle

The back, front and sleeves are knitted. Now comes the hard part, right? Finishing does not have to be difficult. Learn all you need to know to finish with flair: 3-needle bind-off for shoulders, sewing beautiful seams, picking up stitches for button bands and neckbands, and many other tips. The results are really spectacular.

By popular demand, we are now offering a private technique classes. Learn how to create one of the hottest accessories in knitting – the Moebius. A scarf knit from the center out on circular needles with no seams and one continuous flowing edge. This magical twisted loop transforms from scarf, to cowl, to hat, to shrug and back again in seconds. It's a wardrobe must-have as practical as it is beautiful.
